Yo-Ho-Ho and it's goodbye from him

Dear media students

Well, it's the end of term 1 and we've made it - most of us!

It's a farewell to Mr Wallbank who leaves us for a new post in Stourbridge where Media Studies will no longer feature in his life and it's a welcome to Ms. Clayton who will be stepping into those fashionably retro sharp pointed shoes of his for the coming term.

All research has been sent off for checking and next term it's the real thing - creating the final coursework.

Over the break be sure to watch the movie channels, de-construct those adverts and start planning your projects

merry xmas to all our readers

Final Destination?

ominous?
Dear everyone

Your media research needs to be submitted by Friday 13th.  This is the 10 pages of material you have been gathering in order to ensure that your coursework next term is firmly rooted in the conventions/style/issues of your chosen text type [e.g. your opening sit-com credits shows an awareness as to how current successful sit-coms construct their audiences and narrative through their credits]

Please ensure this is submitted AS PRINT in your media folder.

If there are any issues regarding the access to documents stored on the school site then you need to talk personally with media staff on Friday to arrange a final deadline for those pages - though much of what you have done ought to have been uploaded to your blog by now.

Next stop:  the actual coursework
